Baby Jogger City Select Owners
DH and I are going to start our registry soon for our first baby.
I am leaning towards the City Select stroller - if you own this stroller, please give me your honest opinions.
1. Would you recommend it? 2. How has it looked after wear and tear? 3. How easy is it to manuver with 2 seats? 4. Any other pros/cons?
We are in the city so I like the easy to fold aspect and larger basket than the city mini. I think the Uppa Baby is just too expensive for us.
Hopefully we will have a second child and I like that you can add the additional seat which gives you a lot of flexibility.

Re: Baby Jogger City Select Owners
I've had this stroller for 2.5 years and my 4 year old ds still sits in it(he is small for his age though.) I use it as a double. Search my name and city select. This was my response to a previous thread a while back.
I have the city select for my boys who are 20 months apart. I love a lot of things about it, probably all the things pp have mentioned. My 3.5 year olds still likes sitting in it but he is on the smaller side. I don't know if he would feel comfortable if he was bigger. He also gets a kick out of it if he gets to ride on top, since that is usually his brother's spot. As far as it being heavy, it is, but I have 4'11" and lift it into an SUV so it's not impossible. I think I would rather that, than have to keep a double and a single in my stroller, since I frequently only have DS2 with me when DS1 is in school. Then when I have them both, I use it for the mall, or walks. The only things to take note of, although they say there are many positions for the seats, when you have the carseat in, and when both seats are in, they only recline so far. I remember being disappointed that I couldn't recline one or the other fully when I tried for the first time. Also, I know that positioning the seats facing each other seems like its a great possibility but I have never done it. Can't imagine torturing myself that way! I did love that I could face DS2 towards me, once out of the carseat for several months. Then turning it outward so that he would forget I was there. It's a great stroller but of course it's not perfect, but nothing is! Wear and tear: stroller looks great. Basket size: I went food shopping with it. But I've also dragged a shopping cart behind me too! So it was easy to maneuver with two seats. I think it's a good buy fr the money, especially if you are starting with one child, then add the second. This wasn't our first stroller, but if it had been available, it would have been the best choice.

I have the city mini and love it but in retrospect, now pregnant with number 2, I wish I had the select so all I would need is the second seat instead of a new stroller.
