Baby Gates.. I need help!
We have a colonial with a huge staircase. We bought 2 baby gates yesterday, but after a closer look Im realizing that I don't think I will be able to use them. At the bottom of the stairs there is a banister on both sides. I don't think it'll hold the hardware properly. Anyone have this problem? Could you recommend a gate? There are a lot more options online to choose from, but im scared to order them and find the same problem. Thanks!

we had a stair gate at the top of our stairs and what we actually did was take a thick piece of wood to put the hardware into it and then zip tied it to the banister... they actually sell "kits" that do the same exact thing...
at the bottome of the stairs we have a xl play yard configuration gate surrounding the two sides of the stairs
as dh has now stated we are teh home of gates as we have either a gate or a door in every doorway of our house
