baby eczema and formula

I think DD has eczema on her cheeks. They look red and rosy and rough to the touch. She had baby acne starting around 3 weeks old but I don't remember when she developed eczema. In the midst of her getting these new red patches of dry skin, we switched her from breast milk to similac advance to gentlease. I notice that her rash on her face is getting worse.
Could this be a milk allergy? Someone recommended switching to Nutremagen since it's hypoallergenic.
I'm curious to know if anyone had LO that developed eczema due to allergy to formula and if so, did the rashes go away after you made the switch? If it did, how long did it take. Also, what did you put on her face in the meantime.
I am going to the pediatrician tomorrow but I was just curious to see what your thoughts are.

My little guy had the exact same thing. We switched to Nutramigen on Monday and there is a HUGE difference in his face. It got so much better.

I forgot to mention that I have been using baby aquaphor for his face.

We switched to several different formulas thinking it may be it, but it wasn't. We tried every on the shelf cream out there and nothing worked. We ended up going to a pediatric dermatologist who whipped us up a magic cream. Unfortunately, when we stop the cream it all comes back within a few days. They say DS will grow out of it and I really hope it is soon.

We thought the same thing but it ended up being just pretty bad infant acne. It would just keep flaring up and go away and then flare up and go away.

Yes and when we switched to Alimentum it cleared up

My DS had the same thing (the bumps that I thought were baby acne were actually eczema), it cleared up after all of the dairy was out of my system from BFing.
