Baby does not like tummy time
Does anyone have advice on how to encourage an infant during tummy time? My DD gets so frustrated after just a couple of minutes and I end up giving in and letting her play on the activity mat on her back instead. She is lifting her head but I feel like she needs to spend more time on this.

Don't stress about it. Do as much as she can handle a few times a day. Very few newborns like tummy time. What you are doing is fine.
Tummy time also counts if you are laying down or sitting with her on your belly looking at you. Encourage her to turn her head and follow toys and your voice.

Thanks. She is turning her head to look at us and I will try putting her on my tummy.

I would lay on the couch with DS on my belly all the time. The second I put him on his play mat he would scream!! I started lying next to the play mat and had DS's knees on it with his belly and head on me. I would turn a little more on my side so he was more and more on the mat and in a few days he was on the mat with me on my side lying next to him. Once he started rolling though, that was the end of tummy time!!
