Will a newborn fit into 0-3mos clothing? At how many lbs/what age does a baby typically fit into 0-3mos?

Both my kids were 8+ lbs and they both wore newborn for a couple of weeks. But they also wore 0-3, it was just a little big. 0-3 is 8 lbs +.

I think newborn clothes are supposed to go up to @ 9-10 pds so sometimes big babies never fit into them. I returned almost all of my NB stuff and plan on using 0-3, provided the baby is at least 8 pds (which mine will likely be since he weighs @ 7 @ 38w) 0-3 should be perfect HTH

0-3 is a little bigger. My dd wore newborn first and then 0-3 months.

I didn't have a lot of NB clothes, so my DS mostly wore 0-3 from birth. He was 8+ lbs and the 0-3 was a bit large on him, but it didn't bother me. The few NB things we did have were two small after about 2 weeks anyway.

Thanks girls! I bought  a really cute fleece zip-up from old navy. And wanted to see which size would get more use.
