Baby carrier question
I registered for a sling and a Baby Bjorn. Got the Baby Bjorn at my shower. Should i pick up the sling also? I'm 35 weeks today (holy smokes!) so and I'd like to have all the necessities in stock before the baby comes. What did you use?
TIA!!

Re: Baby carrier question
Moby Wrap. I think it is on clearance at Target (at least the one in Stony Brook)
Best thing ever. Clingster here still likes it. When she was a NB, she slept in it a lot. It is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, it is easy!
ETA-I cannot believe you are 35 weeks She will be here before you know it!

Re: Baby carrier question
I would wait on the sling personally. The Bjorn is great to have - and the baby may not like being worn (My first son hated it, my second son had no choice )
So, I would wait and buy a sling if you feel you need it when the time comes

I completely agree. DD is 4 months old and she just started letting me put her in the Bjorn. She loved the moby wrap from day one though.

Re: Baby carrier question
i would personally wait because as diana said, your DC may not like being worn. my dd liked the bjorn when she was a newborn but now isn't a fan of it or anything else.
buy as you need, is my BTDT suggestion!

Re: Baby carrier question
I never used a sling and I hated the Baby Bjorn after DS was about 15 lbs. It started killing my back. I'd actually look into getting something with a lot more back support like the Ergo.

Re: Baby carrier question
I have every baby wearing device you can imagine. I loved the sling more as a hip holder then the cradle hold.
Like Michelle I highly recommend the moby wrap. It is the most versatile. And if you want something that will grow with the baby then the moby wrap or the Ergo are your best bet. The Bjorn really hurts your back once your baby gets bigger.
