Baby Bedding?
I know we’re not supposed to use bumpers; or any extra blankets; comforters; accessories in the crib. So what should I be putting on my registry for the crib? Just sheets and maybe a nice printed bed skirt? What’s the point of a comforter/quilt if I’m not going to use it? I don’t see myself draping the quilt/comforter over the rain when not in use. Would a nice blanket in a print that matches the nursery come in handy to cuddle in on the rocker/glider (it will then just stay draped on the rocker/glider)?

Re: Baby Bedding?
I plan on getting bed skirts and sheets. A family friend is giving us handmade quilts, so I plan on draping those over the glider and using them for play/tummy time on the floor. I dont like anything they have at BRU or BBB so I'm just getting them on my own.

This is what I did. Got a bedskirt from Land of Nod and then some different sheets from Amazon since i didn't see anything I liked at the places I registered.

I'm only doing sheets and a skirt as well, I didn't register for a whole set bc I figured it would be a waste

Re: Baby Bedding?
Thats exactly what we did. We bought a bed skirt and registered for the sheets. We got a TON of blankets as gifts.

Thanks everyone!! I'll look around for a bedskirt I like and just stick to sheets on the crib.

Also-would you register for a bedset for when the crib is converted into a toddler bed? Or just wait and buy a set or comforter when you need it?

The bedset we registered for comes with the comforter, 2 sheets, bedskirt, window valance, diaper stacker and matching wall hangings, all of which we can use right away except for the comforter. And even that I figure we can drape over the back of the glider at least for decoration and even lay it on the floor for tummy time. And once the baby is old enough she can sleep with it. Our bedset no longer includes the bumper since you're not supposed to use it anyway, and I think that may be the case with other bedsets too.

Baby Bedding?
I took the crib skirt off when I moved the crib down to the lowest level. So even that, I found pretty pointless.
I love Aden & Anais sheets. They are soooo soft and cozy! Skip hop makes sheets that have a side pattern that can be seen through the slats -- like a bumperless design.
We like the breathable bumpers so DD doesn't get her arms and legs stuck through the slats of the crib. Does nothing for bumping, but is good for not getting stuck. We've used those the whole time since they allow air flow.
I love the quilt and use it on the floor for tummy time and then later on for story time. But that's me. We have carpeting so I put it on the floor in her room near that. I plan to give her the quilt later on to use as a blanket while watching tv or snuggling on the couch or something.
For DS, I just got sheets and a quilt. I plan to re-use the breathable bumper we had for DD.
