No, there were sections I skipped. For example, i don;t care about quality of crib bedding, I just wanted what I thought was the cutest.

I got it as a gift and read it cover to cover...it did freak me out a bit and used it as a reference, It is VERY helpful, at least to me.
I have no mom here in NY, no sister to turn to, so I am putting my registery together and it helped me so much!!
Can be overwhelming, everything says SIDS death this and that but you take what you need from the book.
I liked it!
