Baby Ballet Help

So on a total whim I signed my daughter up for Baby Ballet. It is a fun class not competitive at all. They said she should wear a leotard and tutu w/ ballet shoes. She is in a 2T where can I buy this? Also do most do short sleeve or long leotard etc..?

They had a few at target this morning but I didn't look at the sizes. Least year I got them at Walmart bc I checked online and they had the most stock in store and I needed that day. Amazon carries tons and zulily has dales often if you can hold out for a bit.

Re: Baby Ballet Help

Can I ask - did you lean towards pink or black? What do most little girls wear? I am seriously over-thinking this lol

She went to two different schools last year and both wanted pink leotards, pink tights, pink skirt. That was 3-4year olds. I would just check with the school to make sure. This year she can do pink or black.

BTW,I got oneshort and one long sleeve. Her studio was always freezing!

Re: Baby Ballet Help

I bought her outfits from target and ballet shoes and tights from Payless.. From what I saw with my older DD they will make you buy a certain type of shoe, tights and outfit for the recital, but for practice I don't bother getting expensive stuff since they grow so fast.

I've always been told to wear pink tights, shoes and black leotard. So I imagine every school has their specifics.

We did baby ballet, it was cute and kids wear all kinds of things... we went to a dance school for the ballet slippers (later found out they sell them at payless!) and got the leotard/skirt and tights at Kohls... they also have them at Target and I want to say they had them at Payless too!

You will love Ms. Nikki and Ms. Gina ( I know there are other teachers too) We sent my daughter in a pink leotard and she was happy. Children wore various different things from shorts to full on tutus.

Re: Baby Ballet Help

Usually casual places are not so picky, esp with the little ones. I got dd's leotards in kohls at that age, but had to size up bc they run small. I got a short sleeved and long sleeved one, both had an attached tutu.

Baby Ballet Help

Babies r us had really cute ballet outfits when I went yesterday. My daughter did 3 sessions of baby ballet with ms jeanna and she had a blast! I got her outfit and shoes on Amazon. The kids wore all different kinds of outfits in all different colors. It's very informal. I wanted to sign DD up again but the closest class is about 25 mins away and it was getting to be too much.

One session of the class, there was a mom who dressed identically to her daughter. I and every other parent wore jeans, leggings- basically whatever. The parents mostly sit and watch after the first few classes.

We did baby ballet and my DD loved it! The instructor is a doll, Miss Nikki! I ordered my DD a bunch of tutus off of Amazon. They were super cheap and super cute! I just wore sweats and a comfy shirt with socks.
