Babies wth reflux-sleeping-Updated with another question in original post

If your baby has reflux, where do they sleep?Right now my daughter is 2 1/2 months old and she has pretty severe reflux. She is on prilosec and Mylanta, both twice a day.

Even in the rock and play or car seat she still refluxes, I can't imagine her being able to sleep flat on her back any time soon.

She currently sleeps in her rock and play, but after seeing the other post about the rock and play I am concerned she won't be able to sleep in it for very long. She is no where near rolling over but I am still concerned. Where do your babies sleep?

Thanks so much!

Updated Question:
For those that used the crib wedge, did you put it under the actual mattress or under the sheet but on top of the mattress? Did your children stay elevated throughout the night or did they slide down?

TIA!

Re: Babies wth reflux-sleeping

Both my girls had terrible reflux. They slept anywhere there was an incline. The bouncer, the swing was their favorite place, the car seat etc.
once their meds really kicked in and we found a formula that worked well with them too they were ok with starting to lie flat (plus they sell crib wedges to elevate the mattress a little)
I think around 3-4mths they were better sleeping flat

I used the rock and play until 6 months and then used a crib wedge or elevated his mattress by putting towels underneath.

Re: Babies wth reflux-sleeping

My dd had terrible reflux until 6 months. She slept in the RnP until 3.5 months. When I transitioned her to the crib I used the mattress wedge to elevate her head.

DS slept in his swing in the incline position or in his crib. I rolled a towel up and put his crib mattress at a little incline.

The wedge goes under the crib sheet. You could also elevate the head of the mattress. My dd did move off of it but when she was older. Good luck, I know it's super frustrating and upsetting.

Ours isn't severe, but her stomach is upset from acid reflux, I elevate mattress by sticking a small pillow between the bottom rail and mattress to give it an incline

I have a co-sleeper. I elevated the top with several towels. My ped said it should be a 45 degree angle. I also lifted the bottom a bit to create a 'V' shape. Otherwise he would just slide all the way down. Worked well for us

You don't need a crib wedge. Towels are much cheaper and do the same thing. Put it under the mattress, on top of the springs.
