B-Day Invite Question
A couple of years ago I started making invites, favor tags, cupcake tags, etc. for parties that I host--DD's b-days, holidays, whatever. So I just created the invite for DD's birthday and sent a screenshot to show my mom. Then I got to thinking...is it terrible to just send everyone a digital copy of the invite I created through a text or email? I asked DH and he totally thinks I should do it but I'm kinda neurotic and used to sending everything out with pretty printed addresses and corresponding stamps lol. I guess it's not really different than sending an Evite out & I think it makes it super easy to RSVP also. Thoughts on receiving a text and/or email invite for a 3rd b-day party?

Re: B-Day Invite Question
I'm horrible about checking email so there's a good chance it would never be seen. A text of the invite would be totally fine though.

B-Day Invite Question
I have a friend who texts pictures of invites she creates and another who Facebook messages a picture of the invites she creates. I also have a few friends who just create a facebook event and others who use evite to send invitations but I would be nervous that not everyone would get the evite. I will probably use a facebook event for my sons birthday this year.

Thanks for the response! I think text is better than email too.

B-Day Invite Question
I like the text invite idea. I have been taking pictures of invites we receive now any way. My kids take them off the fridge and then I have no clue when/where a party is.

Thanks! I'm the same way--it's so convenient having the info on your phone.

Re: B-Day Invite Question
I prefer printed invites. My 3 year old DS doesn't have an email address, nor does he have a phone to receive texts. Since it's a kids party, I think it's just nicer when kids receive the invite. He really enjoys getting mail/invitations and has a magnetic board in his bedroom where he displays them.
That said, half of the invites we receive are through email or text. I just feel like we live in such a high tech world, but it's nice to enjoy the simple things... a good old fashioned paper invite being one of them. Just my opinion. I realize it's the less popular vote.

B-Day Invite Question
I like digital because then I can usually just click on the date and it'll add it to my calendar.

Re: B-Day Invite Question
Either print or do an actual digital so there are reminders. If you just text or send an email, people will forget.

I agree with this - make sure all invitees are up to date with technology
