aweosme CD find
I am going down fighting. I'm sure I will do whatever it takes to calm and sooth  when the time comes, but I refuse to start with things that will drive me crazy- like Barney CDs and garbage like that.
So in a fit of desperation, I checked the children's section at Borders- to see what my alternatives were.
I found Raggae PLayground. the best CD ever. I actually listened to it on my own. It's a child friendly raggae CD. A few covers of kiddie songs, too. And a few songs where kids sing too.
And I found another CD- all disney songs sung raggae style.
Awesome.

I bought some of these for my nephew. They were more a gift for me just because I wanted to hear the songs as a lullaby but I didn't tell him or his parents.

The Rockabye series also has Bob Marley. We were given the Radiohead and Coldplay versions and I love them.

ITA. Barney will never, ever enter my house. EVER.
DH and my all-time favorite is Jerry Garcia and David Grisman's Not for Kids Only. Great songs!!
