Avalon Beach, NJ
Has anyone been to Avalon Beach in NJ? Do they have a boardwalk? Any suggestions on things to do/places to eat? Thanks!

Avalon Beach, NJ
Avalon is nice. I used to vacation in the town over when I was a kid. That place (Ocean City) is awesome. A lot more to do there than in Avalon. Avalon in general has nicer homes though.

DH & I went to Avalon last summer, for 3 nights in August. We stayed at the Desert Sand which is closer to Stone Harbor's downtown. We really enjoyed it. The beach was nice (no boardwalk near where we were) and we went to the Cape May Zoo, Wildwood and dolphin watching. We're looking to go back again this summer.
