autos/home on same policy

DH and I are FINALLY getting around to putting our cars and house on the same policy. Right now, we pay the home insurance through the mortgate payments each month, and pay the auto insurance separately each month. But when the home insurance is combined with the auto insurance, how do you pay it - like do you pay one big bill once a year for the autos and home combined? Or can you still pay the homeowners through the monthly mortgage payment, and then pay for the cars separately, even though it's the same policy?

All our policies are through the same company. Homeowners is bundled with the mortgage and the mortgage co. pays from our escrow. Auto, Umbrella and Flood policies are all billed separately.

Oh ok, thanks for the quick response. That's kinda what I was hoping, that I could continue paying the homeowners with the mortgage payment. One less separate bill to deal with.

we have both through same company no different than having in different companies.. just get a discount bc of having both at same company. We just bought house so first year of home ins had to be payed up front, not sure if thats why.
