Auto Insurance for Senior Citizen- help?
*Please don't suggest Geico) Hi Everyone I need suggestions or recommendations for my mom. She is 67 with a clean driving record, defensive driving, senior citizens driving course. She drives less than 2000 miles a year, 2002 Buick Park Ave.
She lives on a fixed/limited income and cannot afford what they are quoting her ($130/mo) This includes 100/300 liability coverage and collision with a $1000 deductible.
Does anyone have a reference or recommendation on how to find out if there are senior citizen programs? I've googled, but all I get are ads.
Not geico
Thanks!

Auto Insurance for Senior Citizen- help?
Try reaching out to a broker - I use Tom Lee from The Joseph Price Agency in Farmingville. He shops us yearly to make sure we are getting the best rates.

I wonder if AARP would have any resources for something like this?

Not Geico ? My dad has Geico and he doesn't pay that much. What about dropping collision coverage because the car is older.

I was going to suggest dropping collision as well because when a car is that old, it isn't even worth that much book value wise so you wouldn't even get much should you crash it . Especially with such a high deductible. You'd get nothing anyway.

They do not replace auto parts that are broken/damaged with OEM parts. They take too long for claims, and too many of my friends have badmouthed their services.
