August Moms-to-be

How are we all doing???

Up until the third trimester everything has been great.

I'm 34 weeks today!

Lets see, first I was told I'm anemic. Baby is still frank breech at week 34. I have gained 30 pounds but I'm having a small baby. At 31 weeks baby was 3 lbs then at 33 weeks baby is 3 lbs. 10 oz. (it is good growth but still small)
I now go for weekly Non Stress Tests and growth/BPP sono's. (I'm at the doctors office twice a week). On Wednesday I was told I will not go to the full 40 weeks, I'm most likely having a c-section. I'm really tired all the time. I also have what looks like it might be the start of PUPPS on my belly.

I have a bridal shower on Sunday - that I don't want to go to - All I want to do is get the nursery ready for this little baby who will be here sooner than later.

so How are you all doing??????

Sorry to hear you are having a tougher time in the 3rd tri...hang in there and it will all be worth itChat Icon

I'm 33 weeks today and am swelling in my legs if I don't keep them up. I also get very bad aches in my legs/feet if I stand for too long.

I'm feeling huge right now and can't imagine how I'm going to make another 7 weeks. As of a few days ago I was up 25 lbs and I've stopped getting on the scale because I'm afraid to see what it says. I honestly think that the water I'm retaining is adding to the weight. I'm sure it can't have anything to do with the ice cream I have every night.

We are also moving on Tuesday which should be very interesting.

Re: August Moms-to-be

Well I posted about my appointment today. The baby has been head down for a while now and my cervix is short. At 33 weeks they want me on bed rest so I don't go into pre-term labor. I'm hoping to go a little early like 38 weeks or so, because I am so uncomfortable.

I am up a lot of weight. I have retained a lot of water. Hopefully it goes away soon. I feel like a blimp.

The house is coming along. The baby's room was gutted last weekend, and this weekend my Dh and father are putting in new windows then starting the sheetrock.

I wish I was up only 25 pounds. I am up over 50 already. And I don't pig out or eat bad.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: August Moms-to-be

32 wks today and feeling good. I have to go for a growth sono next week because my uterus is measuring about 2 wks behind but my doc isn't that worried because I'm very petite so she doesn't want me to have a large baby in there. Neither do I! My shower is this Sat. so looking forward to that. Still have weekly appts to see if I'm contracting (started ctx's at 24wks) and my uterus seems to be behaving now and my cervix is still closed and thick. I've been given the ok to go back to work at 34 wks (I was out on disability since 24wks) as crazy as it sounds I want to build up a little more sick time before I have the baby. I hope my body will be able to tolerate it! Chat Icon

ETA: So far up 36lbs and starting to swell. Chat Icon

32 weeks also. Had BPP today and the twins are doing well, but it seems one sac has less amniotic fluid then the other. My doctor thought I might have a slow leak, which thankfully I don't. Starting next week, I'll be going for twice weekly BPPs and NSTs, with a doctor's visit in between. My C/S is scheduled for August 16th - 38 weeks exactly, but it's doubtful I will go that far. Feet are extremely swollen, but BP is fine.

Re: August Moms-to-be

I'll be 36 weeks on Saturday but I won't be going that far- they will induce by week 39 if I don't go naturally, so it looks like I'll be a July mom! I'm also in twice a week for NST. Baby is measuring fine, heartbeat is perfect- OB said I had two contractions at my last visit- I had no idea!! If only labor was like that!! The insulin injections have been getting easier, but I can't wait for it all to be over! We're finally getting the baby's room set up! Tomorrow DH is picking up the furniture so my best friends are coming out this weekend to help me set up! Can't wait!

I'm home now & definitely keeping busy. I want the house to be in order for our little one's arrival!

We're getting close ladies!!

What does everyone still have to do? carseats? laundry?

Re: August Moms-to-be

Hi everyone. I was 33 weeks on Tuesday. I'm doing good, had a sonogram on Wednesday. The baby looked good, is head down now. As of 32 weeks I was up 12 pounds. I think my belly grew a lot more since then, so it's probably more by now. All my weight is still in my belly though, so I feel lucky. The house is coming along. The baby's room is carpeted and painted, we have to fix the furniture up and set the crib up. My shower is next Sunday and I am excited for that.

Re: August Moms-to-be

I'm 33.5 weeks - doing OK. Still need to get the carseat and some other basics to fill out our collection of baby things. Childbirth classes start next week. I *think* I might have had a couple of contractions over the weekend - we took some long walks and twice I felt sharp pains around my cervix and had to stop for a minute. The baby and I are in a race - we'll have to see if I can finish work before s/he comes!

Re: August Moms-to-be

I have nothing done!!!

Well I can't say nothing.

My bag is 1/2 way packed.
The baby's furniture is in the garage, however she has no walls in her room right now.

I don't actually have a carseat, although someone purchased it off my registry.

I feel like everyone is slacking. And I am kind of pi$$ed off that my MIL would wait till I'm 36 weeks to throw my shower!!! Talk about waiting till the very end.

Re: August Moms-to-be

I will be 34 weeks on Sunday. Things are going pretty well. I'm uncomfortable and swell a lot in the heat. I go back for my bi-weekly check-up on Tuesday and the following Monday I go back to the specialist for a growth sono. So far everything is right on schedule. My furniture still isn't in and I'm beginning to panic. I just want to be able to set up the nursery. I have to start packing my bag as well. DH is getting nervous and asks me everyday if I started it. Chat Icon

I have my sisters bridal shower tomorrow and a wedding Sunday. I hope I can make it through this weekend!!

So glad to hear everyone is doing well. We are in the home stretch ladies!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm 33w and 1/2 weeks. I have been doing pretty well and have just started to get uncomfortable. The nursery is getting close to being done but I have NOTHING for the baby. I haven't bought anything other then furniture and that isn't even in yet. Chat Icon I'm hoping that the crib will come in by the end of this month. I think I'm up about 18 lbs so far. DH has started to become a lot more attentive Chat Icon and helping out around the house a lot more.

I'm thinking about cutting my work week down to 4 days. Does everyone else work full time?

Re: August Moms-to-be

I am a little over 36 weeks and feeling good. When next Drs appointment is Tuesday and that is when I start going every week. The baby is still moving around like crazy. At my appointment last week, the baby's head was starting to move down and everything looked good with the baby. We have everything we need right now for the baby. We ordered the furniture and it should be here in 7-14 days but I am not worried because when he is born he is going to be staying the bassinet in the beginning. His room has all his stuff just put in there. We need to start getting things put away and clean the room. I have not started packing my bag but I think I should start that this weekend. Other than that, everything is going great. Two weeks from today is my last day at work.
