Atlantic City with baby?
My husband and I don't gamble. So that's not an issue. But has anyone gone to AC with a baby (our son is almost 8 months old). Is there really anything to do there?? Thanks!

I personally have not gone yet w/DD but there is the boardwalk (might be cold/windy though this time of year) and now there is a new mall across from Caesar's. Before DD was born I got a bunch of great stuff at Gymboree for super cheap. There are also outlets that you could go to. I've seen a lot of people with small children there.

When we went last weekend and stayed at the Tropicana, there were so many babies there and kids. I think it would be fun

We took my step-daughter (then age 8) because we had won free 2 night stay...We took her to The Childrens Museum which is nearby to there and she loved it !...Its in a small mall- very hidden but a lot of fun....Also- although hes a bit young for this- there is The Ripleys Believe it or Not museum right on the boardwalk (cool stuff for him to look at !!)
ETA: We too went during the winter and it is frigid on the boardwalk so dress accordingly !!!

we have bought Cadence.... We loved it... there were sooo many babies and Cadence just loved to watch everyone... Also my parents use to go a lot with me when I was a baby and as I got older... They said they never had a problem either

I would go with DS--he is 8 months also. There is shopping, restaurants and you can wheel the stroller though so many hotels

Re: Atlantic City with baby?
we went when DD was 10 months old and had a blast. We were able to walk through the casino's just not inbetween the machines, so she loved the noise and the lights. we stayed at the showboat and walked over to see the light show and walked on the boardwalk, walked in the mall. it was great! We took turns gambling with my dad and then my dad would stay with her so that we could go and gamble. we are going again soon!

Not to sound stupid , but can I ask why you would go if not to gamble? Is it a family thing?

That's what I was wondering also. I can think of a million other family friendly places that are probably more fun than AC.

Re: Atlantic City with baby?
OK I have to ask -- why go to AC with a baby? Am I missing something? Not that there's anything wrong with it, I just don't see the attraction -- unless it were summer and we could hang on the beach (even then I would probably go somewhere else).

My sister's inlaws live in Margate- that is where the AC Boardwalk ends. We take the kids on the boardwalk and to the beach.

We took Taylor to AC when she was about 7 months old. It was still nice out so we went on the boardwalk and went to the outlets.

Re: Atlantic City with baby?
If you are going in the Winter, there will not be much to do, since your child is too young for the game rooms, etc...and with it so cold, you cannot really enjoy the boardwalk.
If you are going i the summer, you can stroll the boardwalk & go to the beach.
