At what time did your OB start internal exams?
Im 38 weeks tomorrow, i go to the doctor twice a week, and he hasnt done any internals, is that normal?

I think I started internals at 36 or 37 weeks.

I think they were routine. I had the first internal at the same time they did the test for Strep B.
From there, I go once a week and always have an internal. Checking to see if I am dilated or effaced.

I go back on monday for a sono, ill have to ask about how come he hasnt checked. I know her head is down, they keep telling me that part.

I'm sure everything is fine. They probably aren't concerned about anything at this point, but I would definitely ask next time!

My first was Tuesday and I was 36W4D.
BTW it doesn't hurt at all.

I had my first one at my 36 week routine appointment and the doctor also did the strep B test.
I had my 37 week appointment this week and the doctor did another internal.
