At what age did your child sit up without support?
Hi ladies!
My  will be 8 months old next week (7 months adjusted). At what age did your babies sit up without support? They are big "tummy time" boys, always playing and rolling around on the floor. I'm just worried that they are behind schedule with sitting up on their own. They seem to be making all of their other milestones. Thanks!

5 1/2 months... at 6 months I remember my DD sitting in a high chair in Montauk when we were there for a weekend... but its hard to compare kids... my DD hardly crawled, she hated tummy time and cruised before she crawled but then she walked at 11 months... everyone's child is different... I wouldn't worry so much, but if you are worried just ask the PED next time, I am sure they would have mentioned something if they were concerned.

DD started sitting at 5 months.

DD is almost 5 months and she's been sitting in the tripod position (hands in front of her), or with her hands on a toy for a week or so now. She can't sit straight up for more than a few seconds though.
Babies all progress at different rates though - she still doesn't roll from her belly to back, but rolls the other way. They'll do things when they are ready.

Tripod 4 1/2 months sitting up unassisted 5 months. Every baby is different though.

DD #1 was about 5 months. DD#2 is a little over 4 months and not even close to sitting up. My sister's twins didn't sit up until they were at least 8 months old.

Thanks ladies! It's funny because they have been in the high chair for months and will probably be early walkers since they love to bounce and stand on their feet. I just notice when I have them on the ground playing with their toys, they love to flip on their bellies and play!

DD was tripod sitting around 4.5 months, sitting by herself around 5 months.

he sat in tri-pod style since about 4 1/2 months...but started sitting up completely without needing his arms on the floor for support at 6 months

 #1-5 days shy of 5 months , tripod(using hands) at 4 months
#2-4 months, tripod at 2 months
#2-3.5 months, tripod at 7 weeks
