At what age did you switch to a big girl/boy bed?
Is 22 months a little too soon for a big boy bed? We are attempting to potty train as well

We initially tried DD in toddler bed at 22 months (when DS was born). Yet after 3 nights of hysterics, mommy laying on the floor & sneaking out...I realized she wasn't used to her "new" room either & first got her used to her new room (in PNP) (baby brother moved into her old room/crib).
She finally made the transition about 24 months & at that point we had no problems at all.
My DS started showing signs of readiness for potty around 19 months & now tells us pee pee, poo poo & runs to the potty at 24 months, yet he's not consistent.
Honestly I wouldn't push both big changes at once, but that's JMO.

We moved her into a toddler bed right before her 2nd birthday. We needed her crib for DD#2 eventually and she was trying to climb out so we figured it was time. She adjusted just fine.
She went into a twin bed when we moved in with my ILs last August. She was 31 months.

We switched DD to her toddler bed around 19 months old and had no issues at all from day 1.

My DS just turned 21 months and he has been in his big boy and for about 2 weeks...so far so good!

We tried to switch DS #1 to a toddler bed when he was 27 months. First night was great and then it was downhill from there. We tried for about a month and he just couldn't handle it. So back to the crib he went. DS #1 is now 2 1/2 and we are going to try the transition again.

DD transitioned from crib to twin bed @ 27 months with no issues.

DD switched at 26 months. DS? Not until he starts jumping out of the crib.
