Aspartame in baby food and formula?
Somebody recently told me that some baby food and formula contains artificial sweetners. Does anybody know if this is true and if so...where can I find information on this.

No. I'm pretty sure the person who told you this doesn't know what they are talking about. The main source of sugar in formula (similac regular) is lactose (which is a milk sugar). Is it "artificial" ? Yes, in that it's not coming out of your breast, but it is naturally found in milk. They add some water, some oils and vitamins and minerals.
As for "artificial" sweeteners as in diet drinks, there is a relatively common enzyme deficiency that baby is tested for at birth in the hospital that doesn't allow them to break down those byproducts. If it were present in formula, you'd hear about mega lawsuits.

I highly doubt it. Where did you hear it?
I just checked Aliumentum and the BJs brand powder and its not in either.

Im not sure about baby foods and formula, but i did find it in the medicine dd was prescribed for an ear infection!

no asparatame, but Similac Sensative, ALlimentum and Isomil all contain sucrose as the second ingredient....

Sucrose is just sugar. Sucralose is Splenda.

sucrose is just as bad...why does there need to be sugar in baby formula, never mind the 2nd ingredient!
