Asking other mommies...need help for a freind
One of my close friends had a baby not too long ago and is experiencing a lot of anxiety/panic and ocd. She has tried calling a few psychologists, but no one has gotten back to her. I thought I'd ask on here if anyone had a rec for a good psychologist. She lives in Bellmore. I'm really worried about her and any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Have her call her OBGYN. They will be able to refer her to someone who specializes in postpartum issues. I called when I was feeling alittle depressed when I went back to work and they gave me a few names of people who took my insurance. I never followed through, but that's another story. Tell her to call

THere is a really good therapist who specializes in post-partum issues in West Islip- I don't know if that is too far for her. Her name is Dr. Helen Meyers. I agree with PP- have her call her OB and they should be able to give her recs.
