As of this moment...
Over 3,431 soldiers have died in Iraq. 
Let's remember what Memorial Day is REALLY about: It's not about the BBQ's, the beach, or just enjoying the 3 day weekend, it's about Remembering all the men and women out there fighting in this war, and every soldier in the past whose ever given their life and limb for this country!

When I went to Bar Beach yesterday for the Memorial Day event, I had my hand over my heart and sang our national anthem with pride. There were many veterans there holding flags to honor their fallen counterparts and they had such sadness in their faces. They are all heroes.

Amen.. Thank you to all of the soldier's in this world who gave their life up on this day for us,As we celebrate this day in remembering them Let's all have a Moment of silence for the Bravery act they do and Serve each day for our Country!! God Bless Them all and their Families.

So many of our holidays hae just turned into excuses to have a sale and spend the day at the mall

amen. we were in DC last week and went to arlington national cementary on Saturday. The headstones go on for miles, it's a very sad place.

Thank you for the reminder. I think a lot of us needed it today.
As Deb said, it doesn't matter how you feel about the war --- we still have to remember and honor all of the troops who have left their families and lives over here to fight for our country.
