There's never a "standard". Flights are always priced out based on availability, so play around with lots of dates. A Saturday night stay over and 21 days prior booking will always give you the best fare. These days I am going to estimate that it's between 500-700 per person from NY.

I went last July and for 3 people it was around $2400 
We also flew Jet Blue with the extra leg room so it was more

Sometimes you can find them in the $350 range if you time it right, Delta and B9 go nonstop out of JFK and United goes nonstop from EWR.

We went in May and I found an amazing deal- 3 jetblue non-stop roundtrip tickets were $1200. We went Wednesday- Wednesday. It helped that I was flexible with my dates and booked about 3.5 months before the trip.

Aruba in August
We went to Aruba last month and we paid $600pp. I believe I booked the tickets the end of April.
ETA: We flew Delta.
