Re: Aruba hotels

We stayed at the Renaissance which was amazing! They provide a boat to a private island, and have great pools, restaurants & a casino inside.

We got a great rate too....$100/nt!!!

Here are a few pics from my recent trip:

Re: Aruba hotels

We stayed at La Cabana. It was nice, not as fancy as some of the high rise hotels, but it was exactly what we wanted. We like having a little "apartment" on our vacations(with full kitchen) , becuase we like to cook breakfast and lunch ourselves. I also loved the beach which was right across the street.

We went to the Divi Divi..it was OK...not the greatest..but we went with 20 people..so it was a good place for a large crowd...plumbing there seemed to be an issue! Everyones toilets broke at least once!

Re: Aruba hotels

I love Aruba!

The Wyndham did not close down, it's just been taken over by Westin. I didn't like the beach down there, it was a little rocky.

The Allegro is now the Occidental- I've stayed here. The rooms are gorgeous and the food was amazing (well, that goes for anywhere is Aruba). They have an all-inclusive plan. Aruba is also very expensive... some people go for the A-I for the drinks/breakfast/lunch and some dinners. But, there are many many restaurants that are out of this world, some people don't do the A-I.

Same goes for the Marriott. I stayed there on my first Honeymoon. The rooms were Ok then, not sure if they've been remodeled. That's the Stellars & Casino. They also have the surf club and the ocean club... it's all first class and you can't go wrong! It's at the top of the high rises on the strip. I personally didn't like the Italian restaurant there, but all the other food is good!

Hyatt- is the hotel w/ the water slide. Very nice, under some construction right now.. they do not have an A-I program.

Radisson- very nice, bigger casino, food is amazing and the rooms are really nice. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that it's an open lobby w/ no AC. I get prickly heat bad... so, I like the AC in the lobby if we're having drinks etc...

I've heard the Divi is really nice, but it's in a different section- didn't check that one out.

HTH's...
