Arrhythmia and pregnancy?

I have arrhythmia (SVT) and I was wondering if any of you girls have it. I had it before I was pregnant. I don't have a mitral valve prolapse or anything dangerous to me, but I was just wondering if any of you have experience with this or if any of you know someone who was pregnant and had it. I would like to hear about it so i can be a little more informed about what path to take with my pregnancy. I know the doctor is supposed to know and help with this, but i haven't been able to find a good one so far.

TIA

I have an arrythmia.. PVC's.. I had no complications with my pregnancy, didn't need to do anything abnormal. And although the dr's swear it has no relation, my Chat Icon was also born with an arrythmia.. PAC's. Talk to your dr, but you should be fine. Happy and healthy 9 months to you!

Thanks. Were you a high risk patient because of the arrhythmia?

I am not pregnant now but when I was pregnant with DD I developed SVT and actually still have it now almost 2 years later. I was not considered high risk because of this as it is usually benign - however, I was put on propanolol - 10 mg 3x a day. DD was born incredibly healthy and too bright for her own good!!!

Let me know if you have any questions!!Chat Icon

No i wasn't. They just monitored me a little more closely... I had more appts than the average preggo, but nothing else out of the norm.
