Around what age can you switch from Snap & Go car seat stroller to "regular" upright stroller/umbrella stroller?
I have 13 week old twins and they cry when put in their car seats. Makes getting them out for a walk cumbersome & unpleasant.
we have a hand-me-down side by side stroller in garage - haven't looked at it since early pregnancy.
Do they have to be able to sit up on their own before switching? They can support their heads when we carry them but are not sitting up yet.
TIA.

I think it might depend on the recline of the stroller. Mine says from birth with a car seat, or 6 mos+ in the regular stroller seat.

Depends on the stroller. I have a City Mini and it says you can put newborns in it with a special insert. I also have a Chicco Cortina (because i hate the City Mini) and there's no way a baby who can't sit would be able to be in there.

I put my twins in the regular stroller around 5mo. I think yours are still kind of young. I'd wait a few more months.

When I had my 2nd and third...I needed to go out in my double stroller - so I was putting them in the babyjogger double stroller since the beginning...i just kept it reclined early on! I also used the bundleMe to make them nice and snug!

Depends on the recline, if it can recline, to almost flat you can use it from birth on.
We have the combi twin sport and used it from a week old on, the infant boot was attached to it.
I would google for the instruction manual to the one you have and look at what it says.

We switched at about 7 months. I would also check to see if the straps in the stroller go small enough to secure them in the stroller. Even at 7 months, on the smallest setting the straps were loose on DD. Then again, she's a peanut.

DS was in a regular, upright stroller at 6 months. He wasn't able to sit well enough before then (same for sitting in the front of a shopping cart).
