Are You Using A Bassinet?

I had one with my son and it was so convenient to have it in my room next to my bed. So I bought the Graco Travelite bassinet/pack n play today in pink. I figured I would get more use out of that than a traditional bassinet. I just put it together and it's so darn cute!!! I had to get the matching Graco infant seat too.

Anyone else using a bassinet or will you just keep the baby in the crib from the start?

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

Yes. Moms neighbor gave her a brand new one from Graco.
Its perfect.
My sis will use it 1st and hand it down to me since we figured we would use it for about 3 months and thats it.

They arent the cheapest either and I could register for one but its such a limited use Item that borrowing one dosent bother me.

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

we bought the PNP with the bassinet and Jiavana hated sleeping in it. As soon as we put her down she would wake up. After a few weeks of trying that we started putting her in the crib and she slept so much beter.

I will definitely try t he basiineet with #2, due to space right now and I want to get away with not buying a crib right away.

Yes, we plan on using one in our room before we put him in his room. My MIL already has one at her house since my SIL had her daughter in August.

Yes. It is the same one DD slept in.

In fact, I slept in it, my sister slept in it, my cousins slept in it, my dad slept in it and my uncles slept in it. As you can see...it's a family heirloom Chat Icon

My mom set it up and decorated it with a big pink ribbon and bow while I was in the hospital.

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

Yes, but only b/c my mom is "lending" us the one used when my brother was born and when I was born. She is also making new bedding set for it as well! All we need to buy (which I plan to register for) is the mattress.

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

Yes, although I didn't plan on using one initially. The nursery is right next to our room so at first I didn't see a need. But then I thought it may be easier to have a bassinet in our room at the beginning, so I registered for one.

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

We used one for the first month, and it was wonderful. It made nighttime feedings a lot easier, and I could just peek in at her whenever I wanted to.

Re: Are You Using A Bassinet?

We were just going to put her into her crib since we are in an apartment and the bedrooms are so close. But, we have a bassinet that we got from SIL and may use it for the first couple weeks to see how it goes.
