Are you serious?
went out to dinner last night for V-day since he's working tonight.
Had a great dinner..glad about that.
While he was ordering wine, I decided not to drink. Hey what the heck..maybe if I behave the IUI will actually work...right?
The waiter asks if I would like wine and DH says, no she's preggo!
WHAT??WHAT???
Can you just shut up? Do you want to jinx things? I tell him not to do that again.
It's such a long shot..yes, it could happen but really I don't want to get all worked up only to have a bfn in two weeks.
It's one thing to be optimistic but another to say I'm pregnant!
I felt terrible.

I cant even begin to analyze what comes out of my DH's mouth let alone yours Here's my one stab at it...maybe he was trying out some sort of feng ching shui "invision it and it shall be" thingy.... alright I'll shut up now

We have different strategies.
Yes, if we believe it maybe it will happen.

If it makes you feel better, before I knew the results of my IVF, DH bought me a "my first year" baby frame and a precious moments of a mommy holding her baby. It was very sweet, but in my head I was kinda like- gee, won't I feel horrible if this didn't work. He said he was optimistic.
Turns out- it did work. Maybe he knows better than you do

We had just done a transfer last summer, then went to visit DH's family in CT. We went to dinner at CraftSteak in Foxwoods with his sisters, their SO's and some other people I didn't even know. Now BIL knew we had just done the transfer and when the waitress came over he tells her I can't drink because I'm pregnant....I wanted to die...I have all these strangers asking me when I'm due and the waitress is telling me I don't look pregnant, etc. etc.
Needless to say - I didn't get pg that cycle...

Yeah, they really don't know what end is up with all this!! The first month we did a medicated cycle DH kept referring to "Zippy the Zygote" as our potential child.
