Are the juror numbers usually called in order?
I was sent a jury summons to serve as a trial juror and had to call in today. The numbers for Tuesday are A0001-A0250 and the rest of us (A0251-A4000) need to call back on Tuesday. My number is in the upper 3,000s. Do they jump around with groups of numbers within that range or are they in order? Also, do they usually stick with 250 per day or will they sometimes have a larger group come in? I have a NYC getaway planned from September 15-18 and with my luck they will reach my number then and I was trying to avoid postponing.

From my experience yes they call in order. Usually you only have to call for a week amd if your number isn't called by friday you're dismissed and in the clear for a few years. As far as how many numbers per day, I don't remember if its the same number every day or not.

No. I would have been called 2 weeks ago, but the day I thought my number would be called, it skipped over to the 900s (I was in the 400s).

When I had to call in a couple of years ago, it was in order. Some days there were more people called, some days less.
Eta: we only had to call for a week. Once Friday hit, we didn't have to call anymore!

If it's Suffolk County, then yes they are called in order, and if you aren't called by Friday then you are done for 6 years. They don't necessarily call the same amount of numbers every day. But your number is very high and it's a holiday week so it is highly doubtful that you would get called.

ITA. I was 1500something and didn't get called but I know it can vary. Your number is very high though.

Yes its in order and if you have a trip planned you will be excused if you are called. Its only for 1 week so you don't have to worry another that. I doubt you will be called. Its a holiday week and your number is very high

See, I received a Suffolk jury summons and they didn't call in order. They skipped a whole group (something like "A251-A999 please call back tomorrow, A1000-A1250 please report to...) I think it's really anything goes with this system.

When I called in, they did not call the numbers in order. I am not in Suffolk.

Re: Are the juror numbers usually called in order?
DH and I are in Suffolk, and when we were summoned they called off the numbers in order. The last time DH got a jury summons (few months ago) he had a high number and called every day Monday thru Thursday and on Thursday they dismissed him.
