Are the Bug Nets and Rain Canopy for the stroller a waste?
I took DS out & he got a mosquito bite so I'm thinking of getting the bug net.
Do you ladies use your bug net & rain canopy?

I swore by my bug net last summer when DD was ultra young...she would get eaten up by mosquitos if I didn't...

definitely used the bug net alot last summer when DD was a newborn..I dont think it cost that much so even if you only use it a few times, it's worth it. Never got a rain cover but I often think that I should have...

Re: Are the Bug Nets and Rain Canopy for the stroller a waste?
I am a fan of both.
I have not broken out the bug net yet this year but used it lots last summer (DS was born June 26th) for walks and naps in the fresh air on the patio. I even read to use the net on the infant carrier to help prevent strangers from touching your newborn... I did that!
As far as the rain cover... my sister gave me a new one she had and never used. I was like, okay, who would take a baby out in the rain? But it's good to have if you get caught (which I've yet to). Mostly though, I used it when I took DS for walks in colder weather. It's kind of like a sun room and kept him nice and cozy and blocked the wind too. So I was able to get out and walk even if it was not totally sunny and beautiful out. Which helped a lot because he would only take good naps while in the stroller.
So if you plan on doing some good walking/stroller time, they are both a good investment. If you do not go out in the cold or wind, then skip the rain cover.
PS... I'm sure they all do for safety, but my rain cover has some mesh vents so you can open flaps for circulation. I'd look for one with that feature.

I use the rain canopy in windy weather, we live by the ocean and it can get really windy sometimes
Bug canopy is a must for late afternoon walks.

I never used a bug net, I think my stroller might have come with one.. but I keep the rain cover in the bottom of both of my strollers.

When my DC were newborns I always used the bug net. I definitely think the rain canopy is a must. My DC are 17 months and 2.6 years and I always use the rain canopy.
