Are any lawyers on... or any one who is knowledgable with courts/law?
I have a few questions.
Is bankruptcy court public information?
Is there a way for me to get the transcripts from a bankrupcy court? Can I get it myself or do I need a lawyer?
How detailed are court transcripts? (Will it have the person who is declaring bankpuptcy's answers to the judge's questions on the court transcripts or is it a general summary?)

I'm not sure about all your questions, but I was able to get the details of what was bankrupted for someone by filling out a form. They sent me the details of what accounts and how much each account was included in the bankruptcy case. My brother helped me find the form, he is an attorney. If you want his info, let me know I will FM it to you.

Thanks. I don't need info on the accounts or money owed or anything like that. I need proof of something that was said in court.
Is that possible for me to get?

If you go to the courthouse, you can ask them to check the docket. Sometimes the transcripts are published and you would only have to pay a copy charge. However, if the transcript is not on the docket, you could order it from the court reporter and it may cost you a few hundred dollars.

If it was in Suffolk I'd check the online cases for the docket # & call the clerk to find out what you need to do. I'll try to find the link for you. I found out info on a house foreclosure (which my husband refused to try to get....errr...) this way.
