architect needed
i placed this in the business for families too, but get little response there...
i need an architect for a levit dormer.
i want to get plans first, then shop around for the construction company, to compare apples to apples.
do you know an architect? have one in your family? familiar with levits? let me know!!

Sorry, didn't realize you said levit...I just asked my husband, he works for an architect (but way out east), but he doesn't know of anyone in levittown...sorry.

My DH and I are currently in the process of getting ready to build up on our house. Our house is in East Meadow and it's like the levits. The architect we used was great! He gave us great ideas and helped a lot. It was actually from a recommendation we got from here.

I have a good one too. He just designed a whole brand new house for me and a remodel for my cousin. He has really great ideas and was always very fast with everything. It was amazing that just by sitting with us for 60 minutes he was able to design our dream house and then some in just one try.
With that being said. I think it is best to shop around. We went to a number of different architects that were recommended and then we chose the one that we felt would not only match our needs but would be easy to work with. The one we went to actually was $500 more than another offer BUT he would return my calls in a matter of minutes where as the other would take weeks! Being timely was very important to us.
