Aquarium in Coney Island
Has anyone been? We plan on going next weekend with a few families. Just seeing how it is. I know there was some damage and some stuff is still closed.

I took my DD on Memorial Day and we had a great time! I do believe there were some sections still closed in the outside area. We walked around the inside and took her to see the sea lion show. We were there about 2 1/2 hours. The board walk is right there, so you can always walk around or go to Coney Island after.

Aquarium in Coney Island
We went 2 weeks ago and DD loved the aquariums! She's 4 months. Lol. 90% of it is open. It's a small aquarium to begin withal not too much there really. We did the sea lion show. Looked at the fish tanks and then left and walked down the boardwalk.

Its really small. For the probably the same distance maybe a little longer, the Camden aquarium is supposed to be great.
I just feel like you are going to be sitting in a lot of traffic only to be there for maybe 2 hours. If you plan to go to the beach and the rides then that is different.

I just feel like you are going to be sitting in a lot of traffic only to be there for maybe 2 hours. If you plan to go to the beach and the rides then that is different.
We are actually going to meet family from LI so that's why we figured we would go. I will do Camden another time. Plus, we have the Bronx Zoo pass.

LOVE Adventure Aquarium in Camden. Wish we knew about this place sooner. It is very interactive. My kids had a blast.

We live in Brooklyn so we go often enough. If you're coming in from LI I'd make more of a day of it. Go to the aquarium early (it's not big) then head to Luna Park / Wonderwheel for some kiddie rides and lunch & ide cream on the boardwalk. Then back to the car and the kids can nap on the way home (which if taking the Belt will take you about 5 hours!...kidding! Sorta! lol)

LOL! My IL's live on Long Island so believe me... I am aware of the traffic. WE are in NJ so once in a while we pick a place in the middle.
