April Mommies
How is everyone doing? We have almost three months to go. How is everyone's checklist?
I am on the move this month. I registered, picked out baby furniture, reorganizing the house.
I am getting excited because I feel April is right around the corner.

Re: April Mommies
So far so good. I registered, ordered the furniture, got the glider. Now I need to pick a paint color and paint the nursery. Also, put out a large throw rug for the center of the room.

Since it's my 2nd I am not registering. However, I am moving my DS into my office so the baby can and have his room. My office is a disaster and with my modified bedrest I have done NOTHING about it! I'm starting to get very stressed!!!!!

Re: April Mommies
Hi April Moms! Isn't it going fast? I'm due April 1st. Its crazy to think in three months I'm going to have a little one at home.
I'm feeling pretty good still. The baby moves around so much now. I'm feeling it all day long and during the night too. Sleeping is getting a little difficult so I've started to take naps again when I get home from work. But nothing else to complain about.
I feel like we're making good progress right now. The baby's room is painted and our furniture is put together. We were very lucky and my cousin gave us her crib and changing table all we have to buy is a glider. DH just finished installing a closet organizer today so I put the couple baby things we have in there. My baby shower is in two weeks and I can't wait to have everything in the room all set up!
Any other April mommies delivering at Good Sam? We just signed up for our birthing class there.
I think the only thing I'm stressing about now is childcare. We really need to figure out what we're going to do but I've been putting it off. Guess I'd better start soon.
Hope the rest of you April moms are doing well!

Re: April Mommies
Hello everyone, I scheduled my c-section for April 18th. This will be DD#2 for us and are so excited. DD#1 turned 7 yesterday. There is a pretty big gap, but we had so many issues getting pregnant and then staying pregnant. I feel so lucky to even be having another. The fact that DD#1 will have a sister is enough to make me cry, when I think about it. We are about to start the room. there is alot of work to be done. I will not be having a shower, but have a lot of shopping to do.

Re: April Mommies
I'm doing pretty well and feeling relieved. DH and I had a little scare on Friday- our little boy wasn't moving all day and didn't respond to the usual stuff. He wasn't moving to food, juice or cold drinks like he usually does and I started freaking out. The OB asked me to go to the ER but not to get too alarmed. Lo and behold, a few minutes after they hooked me up to a fetal monitor that's when he decided to start moving again and kicking hard. It looks like he was napping all day and scaring the crap out of me! The OB had to jar him awake to get him moving on the ultrasound.
I also discovered he is moving more than I can feel- I guess I'm only feeling his hard kicks and rolls still but not any of his lighter movements...I'm just so thankful he's okay!
On a different note, we just finished painting his nursery and the crib is getting delivered on my birthday next week

Re: April Mommies
Doing well here. I failed my 1 hour glucose test by 1 pt which means that I have to take the 3 hour We moved dd to her new room before Christmas so all that has to be done is paint the new nursery and get some of the things that we will need for baby #2. I'm getting a bit freaked about having 2 kids to take care of though!

Re: April Mommies
Well I'm due May 9th, but will be having a c-section, so my baby will be born in April. I'm feeling ok, not getting much sleep at night and feeling very emotional. My heartburn is horrible!! I just can't wait to have this baby already. We found a new house so we will be moving soon, so I can't wait to get everything in order and start decorating DD's and the baby's room.

Hi April Moms! Finished registering, ordered baby furniture, signed up for classes. I feel like it is a LONG wait until April! I definitely feel like it is getting harder to do things I normally do, I get out of breath a lot easier which is frustrating.

Hi April Moms!
I'm still feeling pretty good. I have the occassional backache and some morning leg cramps, other than that I feel good.
I pretty much finished registering. We ordered the nursery furniture at the end of December. Ordered the rocker/recliner a couple of weeks ago.
We painted the nursery last weekend and already purchased the bedding since it was being discontinued.
My moms booked the shower for March 1st.
I had my GCT test on Saturday and my next monthly is on the 24th where I also get my Rhogam shot (I'm RH negative).
Hope everyone is doing well!

Re: April Mommies
Doing well except for the sleeping at night. The pain in both hips is unbearable so I've been sleeping on the couch which seems to be more comfortable.
We registered and picked out furniture last weekend, I found a babysitter and "reserved" her this week, did my shower list for my sister this morning and my glucose test is on the 23rd. Time is flying by!

Re: April Mommies
Hi April Moms!
Other than some violent heartburn and recent backaches that I should also attribute to standing for hours at DH's band's shows, I feel pretty good.
I set up a wish list on BRU.com but wanted to officially open the registry in-store, which I plan to do the moment DH & I are available to go at the same time. I may have to give up and go myself, but I was hoping to wait for him. We will likely work on the baby's room in Feb. It should go pretty quickly for us b/c DH and his brother are the handymen types who can flip an entire house in a day. hehe
Still killing ourselves trying to come up with a name for which I think will be our biggest challenge!
My OB told me to go for my 1 hour glucose test a couple of days before my next appt with him, which is 1/29, and I am a tad nervous about it since my mom now has diabetes and my dad was borderline diabetic for a while. Fingers crossed!
Hope everyone is feeling great!

Re: April Mommies
Since this is #2 we didn't register and don't need too much stuff. We just ordered the furniture this weekend. I'm trying to find bedding I like so we can pick out paint colors and get the nursery painted. I had my glucose test a week and a half ago and I haven't heard anything so I'm hoping that means I passed! I go back on Wed. so I'll find out for sure then. My back pain has been so bad that some days I can barely walk. Just trying to take it easy and not exert myself too much so it won't flare up. Hmm, what else...peeing every 10 minutes, heartburn, and baby has decided she needs to get her exercise every time I try to go to sleep!

Re: April Mommies
I'm doing okay! Very tired as DS has been getting up at 5am this past week-and no matter what, I always wake up on my own- I'm either hot, cold or uncomfortable for some reason.
But, this is still an easier pregancy than last time around. I think the exercise I am getting running around after a toddler is actually helping.
Just getting nervous about having 2 under 2!!

Re: April Mommies
Hi April Mommies.
Generally doing really good, though this sleep thing is starting to get really difficult. I bought the Boppy Full Body Pillow which helped for about 2 days, and then back to not getting a good night's sleep. passed my 1 hr GCT and next appt is 2/2.
Registered for birthing prep classes starting on 3/2 (hopefully not too late, but I felt like the Feb classes were way too early since I am due the last week of April.
We've ordered the crib and dresser, which is getting delivered in early march, pretty much registered but still making changes. I still have to get SIL my guest list for the baby shower which I think will be sometime in early March.
Baby is kicking furiously every day. I can't believe we only have 3 months to go!! I'm so excited to meet my little boy!!
Hope you all continue to/start feeling good!!

I'm pretty much in line with you. Heartburn and backpains! I also set up a wish list on the BRU website, but want to go in person with DH to add the majority of the items!
I have my glucose test on Thursday at like 3:15! I hope I don't fail it - I can't imagine taking the 3 hour test
I went over the guest list with my mom and MIL for the shower so my parents are going this week to book a place. Should either be the first or second week in March!! I'm so excited

Re: April Mommies
Good afternoon my fellow April moms,
Things are going smoothly here so far. Nursery is 90% finished (painted, carpeted, and furnished)...now we just have to order the blinds and hang the pictures and curtains. I finished registering a couple of weeks ago and I gave my shower list to my mom last weekend. We have our first meeting with a childcare provider tomorrow afternoon. Wish us luck!
I'm feeling pretty good these days. Much less energy than I had in my 2nd trimester, but other than that I can't complain. Due date is April 1st but I'm hoping to go sooner than that!
