Appraisal help
We are in contract on a home and just got the appraisal back-and its 25K less than what our purchase price is. My attorney is going to contact their attorney to renegotiate the price, but how often do people come down to the price of the appraisal? I love the house but do not want to pay more than it appraises for, plus this will change the whole structure of our loan.

Appraisal help
A house is worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. They may come down in price. They might not. It really depends on the seller.

A few months back when we were selling our co-op for the first time, it came $10K under what they were paying. We agreed to negotiate with them (we said we'd pay $5K and they pay the other $5K), but the buyer refused to negotiate..so that killed the deal in the end.
Hopefully your seller is flexible and so are you and you can take it from there.

Our house came in 20k less than selling price. The sellers came down 10k and so we paid 10k more than appraisal....this is our forever home so we were okay with it....good luck!!! We haggled for awhile before they came down 10k but they did...

Appraisal help
We had a similar issue and it really depends on the seller. It took a week or 2 but eventually the sellers came down a bit and we came up a bit.
