appraisal
I am refinancing and having the appraisal done tomorrow. Is there anything I should know about this process? And is there anything I should do to the house before she comes?

Last time we were appraised I just straightened up and steered clear of the guy. I was in the house in case he had questions, but I tried to stay out of his way. I offered him a water but he wasn't allowed to accept it.

Its pretty straightforward. She'll come and take a look around the house, take a few pictures, maybe some measurements and be on her way.
You don't need to prepare in any way. Some people give me a tour, some people leave me on my own to walk around - I leave it up to the homeowner and their comfort level.

we just refied and didn't do any prep. my husband showed him around, that was it.
