Appliances?
I am redoing the kitchen and want to purchase a stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven/microwave. Which store seemed to have the best prices? What make would you recommend or not recommend?

We just ordered all our appliances from Appliances Buy Phone. The prices are great (we saved over $1200 plus there is no tax and no delivery charge). They were really helpful and came fast. I think he is just a middleman with no overhead so he can charge less and ultimately, they were delivered by PC Richards. Search on the Home board and you will see my review as well as the orignial recommendation/rave review.

I definitley would give Appliances Buy Phone a call.
I bought my mom a dishwasher - it was $50 less than PC richard, and no tax and free delivery!!

We purchased all our appliances from Home Depot and didn't have any problems. At the time they had a great deal which saved us a lot of money.

I bought my fridge at Sears (Kenmore Elite) but if I lived in the NE, I would call that Appliances by phone that was listed. The prices are unreal!

I bought mine at Lowe's I think I got a decent price. I recently saw an ad for package deal at Jay's 4 appliances for under 2k worth checking out if I had seen it earlier.

I DO NOT recommend Jays - my best friend had to return her stove bc it didnt work properly - shes on her third - and now her new dishwasher (purchased at the same time) isnt working...

I agree. But, If I had to rebuy my fridge, I probably wouldn't buy a Maytag. The motor broke 6 months after we bought it causing all of our food to spoil, plus some piece that's attached to the back snapped off and was making a LOUD noise for months. Luckily we're still under warranty because I made their tech guy come to my house 4 times !!!! So far so good, but it's only been since Friday

Hows the kitchen coming so far? Did you wind up with Kitchen Magic? if so, Joe recommended someone at pc richards (craig steinberg in elmont). he gave us great prices. then we took those prices to appliance home center in east northport and they beat craig's low prices. i definitely rec. them. fm with questions.

I'd say appliances buy phone too. friends have used him and been happy too. i personally found a sale at sears that ended up being cheaper for comparable appliances plus the kenmore are all very highly recommended by consumer reports.

Just an FYI, when I inquired about Kenmore, the guy at appliances buy phone told me that Kenmore makes the appliances for frigidaire and GE (and maybe one other). When I told him the kenmore I liked (only sears can sell Kenmore), he was able to figure out which Frigidaire/GE it was.

I would never recommend Jay's either. I bought a TV from them years ago and it was delivered in PIECES! (broken) 
they gave me such a hard time when I went in to get a refund
