Appliance Rave
Ok, so Friday DH and I went shopping around for our new dishwasher. We found one on consumer reports that scored the highest in our price range (a whirlpool). So we checked out these stores:
Sears-highest
Best Buy-mid-priced but high instillation
P.C. Richards-lowest but not as low priced as
Two Guys Appliances in Centerreach. They had the best price and free delivery. We got our new dishwasher Saturday (the next day).
Sorry gals, but we got white, not stainless. Its what we wanted. After seeing the stainless in the stores, we were 100% positive we wanted white. After so many years in the resturant business, we both LOATH stainless.

we got the Whirlpool DU1100XTP (Q). Its available in white/black and stainless (extra $50). We paid $420 with instillation, delivery, and an extra 2-year warrenty.
Its overall Comsumer Reports Score was 81 out of 100 (but the highest rated was a 92, but that was a $1,000 dishwasher). We wanted something under $400 that scored the best and this did.

Thanks, that's a great deal and it's the price range I was looking in as well. It's hard to just look online, every dishwasher looks the same (except for the colors) after awhile!

I really recommend appliancesbyphone.com also... your same model with delivery would have been cheaper there. Plus no tax cause they are out of NJ. Shipping is usually by PC Richards on LI.

e.t.a oh wait installation.. i am not sure how that would have worked. It may have pulled the cost up. Not sure.

Kerry that is awesome! We will definitely have to check out Two Guys Appliance. I pass them all of the time but have never gone in! Thanks for the tip!
