Apparently I spend money when I feel fat
DH keeps telling me that I'm pregnant, not fat. It's sweet, but I see what I see. Anyway, how did I make myself feel better? I bought a pair of designer maternity jeans. They were on sale, but it was pretty ridiculous of me to spend so much on maternity jeans. That said, I'm keeping them. They're the only pants I feel attractive in right now.
Has anyone else splurged on something frivolous?

i bought a whole bunch of flattering maternity clothing to make me feel better during the in between phase. Now I totally embrace my bump and I'm trying not to buy anything else.
If the expensive jeans make you feel great dont feel bad about keeping them! You deserve it! Making a baby is hard work!

I bought a bathing suit that was $150  at Pea in the Pod but it was the only one that I felt looked even remotely OK and that I would wear in public. DH was mad I spent that much.
I have worn it only twice so far, but I think it was $150 well spent!

I say go with what makes you feel better!! If that means designer jeans that you look great in then don't feel bad!! And you'll get plenty of wear out of the jeans during and maybe even a little after the baby is born.
I haven't really splurged yet; but I do need to get some tops. DH said just buy regular tops in size large. Yes that's the case for some things; but I don't want to look frumpy. I'd rather spend a little more and get a maternity top that flatters my bump; not just hides it.

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one!
Destination Maternity was offering an additional 30% off sale items. There were two styles of 7s that were on sale and I got an extra 30% off. I think I wound up paying around $110 for them. They're still on sale, but now they're $159.
