Apartment Search
Currently DH and I are looking for a new apt. We keep searching Craigslist and we haven't had too many prospects. We've checked on MLS and emailed a couple of agents and no one has gotten back to us yet.
Is there any place else we can look?

Sorry agents haven't been getting back to you.
If you are looking to avoid a broker's fee, the best place to look is Craig's list, as well as local papers (Town Crier, Newsday, etc.) as others have said.
However, if you are willing to pay a broker's fee (usually one month), you may be better off calling some local real estate agencies in the areas in which you are looking. They may have exclusives that aren't on MLSLI (sometimes agents would rather try to rent places themselves than split the fee on MLS, since there is less to split with a rental as opposed to a sale).
Let me know if I can help. We have a lot of rental listings within my office (we are located in N. Bellmore but have listings all over LI and in Queens, too.
