Apartment people=does your building have storage units?
If so, do you pay for them? I'm looking for some way of getting them for our building.

My builing has store rooms with assigned spaces. They are approx 6x5' and are available on a first come, first served basis at no charge. The room is locked and only building staff & board members have a key, but each space is not secure.

We have a storage room with "cages" that you can rent on a monthly basis, based on if there are units available.
We don't use it, but it's secured w/ a key and only people who have them have access to that room.

My friend lived in an apartment in forest hills that has basement storage cages for some of the apartments, I think it was first come first serve.

We live in a big building. There's a space to store bikes and another place where each apartment can store up to 2 empty suitcases. That's about it though. A real storage space, like the 6x5 one a PP mentioned, would be fantastic.

Our buidling has limited storage space which is on a first come first serve basis. We pay $48 a month for the space which I believe is 4 feet x 6 feet.
There is a main room that contains all of the smaller units. Everyone with space has a key to the main room. Each person then supplies thier own lock for their individual space.
The space is run by Bargold Storage Systems
