apartment needed

my husband and i are going to have to be out of our apartment in hicksville in 2 months...finances are extremely tight and the timing is horrible...i work in east meadow and my husband works locally...if anyone hears of anything, preferably without going through a broker, PLEASE let me know...would love another 2 bedroom but if we have to downgrade to a 1 bedroom we will...like i said, times are rough right now (for medical reasons), and i dont want to just move into ANY place, like we might have to...we are not totally in a rush, we have 2 months, possibly 3...i read craigslist every day and check the papers...the greatest score would be a cottage! thanks for reading, and if anyone can help, that would be great...LIF is one of the best websites i have ever been on! the community is fantastic

I'd recommend our 1 bedroom basement apt we're in now (Farmingdale), but its prob smaller than you would like... We should be moving out by end of Nov... $1100 with utilites included... We actually found it on craigslist a year ago and I'm sure the landlord is going to be putting it up on there again

My MIL is renting a decent sized one bedroom in Lindenhurst. It's the upstairs of her house. I think it's $1100 with all included. FM if you would like more info.

We just bought a house this week and are moving out of our apt in Levittown. It's a 2 bedroom, w/office, working fireplace and big back yard. Our landlord is planning on renting it around Nov 1 or 15. Don't know how much you want to spend. FM me if you are interested.

My cousin just moved out of a nice one bedroom second floor place in Massapequa. It has TWO living rooms though and a nice sized kitchen. Also has a porch. The landlady is elderly so you never hear her. He left it in darn good shape too. If you would like I can get more information for you.

thanks for all responses so far...some of the places mentioned are too far...we would like to stay around hicksville, levittown, east meadow, bellmore, etc...keep em coming!
