for the most part you should expect to do monitoring in the morning.

Re: Anyone's RE's have evening appointments?
There are place you can go to in the city before work to draw blood, etc. The reason you have to have am appointments/monitoring is because the bloodwork often has to be drawn and analyzed before they go on for your protocol the very same day. At my RE, I did bloods in the am, they picked up all of the blood by 9:30, and by 11am, the results were back and the nurses called you by noon to tell you what meds to take and which adjustments were needed.

You only need DH their for the retrieval and the transfer even though you could have someone else go with you for the transfer.
I work in the city and have to be there at 8 so I picked a clinic in the city. I used to go in for monitoring and be at work by 815. I figured that way DH would only have to take off a day or two and if it fell on the weekend we would just drive into the city.

You won't need dh there for monitoring. My dh worked in Manhattan he never came to monitoring. I'd call and ask different re offices what time monitoring starts. A lot are opened at 6am.

Re: Anyone's RE's have evening appointments?
I have to get to work by 8am in the city and I just make sure I take the earliest monitoring appointment they have at 6:30am. DH doesn't have to be there for monitoring, you'll only need him one time for iui and twice for ivf.

Re: Anyone's RE's have evening appointments?
Like the PPs said, you don't need your husband there for monitoring. Sometimes they just take blood, so it would be pointless for him to be there then. And even when they're doing an u/s, it takes 2 minutes and he doesn't have to be there. He only has to be there when they need samples.
Personally, I chose an RE near my office so that I could go to monitoring and then get to work. I'm usually at work by 8am after monitoring. My RE is walk-in starting at 7am and I usually arrive 7:15ish. You'll be fine.

Maybe consider using a doctor in the city so you can head to work right from monitoring? RMA and Cornell both start at 7am.

Re: Anyone's RE's have evening appointments?
As the previous ladies said, I would look for an RE in the city closer to work. My DH only went to 1 monitoring appointment and that was because it was a Sunday morning and we were on our way to Atlantic City after. He only has to go for a SA, Day of your IUI transfers, (if you are IVF) retrieval and transfer days. That's all!
