anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
i guess with the holidays getting in my way and events, and working during the weekday, i haven't had much time to do everything i need i need to do.
i feel like i have a never ending list and yesterday when i looked into the baby;s room, i started balling! it just feels like there is too much to do and not enough time!! the baby is due in 2 weeks!!
my husband was great though... and little by little things are getting done. we should be done today hopefully!
anyone else??

It sounds like you're well on your way to getting everything done. I feel similar to you and I'm not due until Feb. I slacked big time with the holidays this year. I pretty much bought everyone gift cards, and I decided not to decorate this year. Last night my DH and I decided not to even get a tree! We've just felt very busy with baby related things.
Definitely cut yourself some slack! You will get it all done.

I have all the time in the world since I am not really working now-- but, I still feel overwhelmed by everything. I think it's normal!

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
I am starting to get completely overwhelmed! We are trying to move DD #1 to her "big girl room" so we are working on getting that painted and ordering furniture along with transitioning her to a bed, in addition to all of the stuff that I have to get ready for #2 I haven't unpacked or washed ANYTHING and I really need to get moving on my bag for the hospital!
We decided not to put up the tree this year either - it makes me sad with DD, but we will help my mom decorate hers and do Christmas morning there instead. I am afraid that I won't have the energy to put all the stuff away again after the holidays if we put it up now

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
I feel like you!! I already had 3 showers but everything was just thrown in the extra bedroom. This past weeken we put everything away. What I mean by everything is away, ......in the Closet. We still do not have our furniture delivered yet. I don't even feel like it is the Holidays since we are consumed with getting everything in order. But, dh wants to get me a Charlie Brown Tree! So, that is what we'll do!

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
I really got my a$$ in gear when we found out we would have a scheduled early c-section. I have a list that DH teases me about but with 2 babies on teh way to 2 new parents I want to make sure all the cosmetic crap is done so we can spend time with them when they are home. We started the nursery ....just had cribs delivered....wood flooring going down next weekend....and the wall mural will be ready in a bout a week......we have until march so I can relax a little now..Just glad all the important things are in the house already....and after my shower Feb 28th the house wil officially be packed with baby stuff!Thank God we have a garage!

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
I posted something similar last week. I have 30 days to go till my due date and I am with all we have to do.
we DID put together some things (carseat, snap and go, swing etc) and I did a load of baby wash the other day. The furniture came on Wed. and the glider is due to arrive Tuesday. Today we washed and put the bedding in the crib and DH put the wall quote above the crib and ironed and put up the valances. Things seem to be getting a **little** easier.
We have NOT xmas shopped though. I got DH all his stuff online and it should bee arriving this week. He is planning on taking friday off to do the rest...love him!

Me too. My parents are planning to come stay with us next weekend until the baby is born. The guest room is a disaster. It needs to be painted, there's a small "hole" in one of the walls, and I just don't think DH's plan to get to it is going to happen between now and then.
I guess as long as I have clean sheets on the bed and clean towels in the hall closet for them to use, they will be okay!
For the most part, all the other "big" stuff is done.
I plan to Xmas shop this week, get my car vacuumed out, and finish the rest of the baby laundry.
I pretty much have come to the conclusion that we're never going to be done........it's just preparation for when he's here........

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
you girls are def. helping me feel better! thank you!!
we did get a lot done by Sunday, thank God! every single bib, receiving blanket, sock, and onesies has been washed! and items for later use have been put into the garage- which cleared up so much space for us!!
now all that is left is to finish packing the rest of the items for the hospital bag, find a pediatrician, buy a christmas tree, go xmas present shopping.. and maaaaaaaaybe possibly make a few big meals to freeze..
phew!!

Re: anyone's nesting driving them to tears??
My tears are from the frustration of not being able to, or 'allowed' to do certain things myself - I'm not used to that and it's driving me INSANE !!! - I HATE having to wait for DH to move the couch, or paint the basement floor, or whatever it is I want to do that I'd normally just get moving on myself and get DONE - I now have to rely on someone else to do it and I can not STAND it -

omg!! this is my gripe too! i am much bigger now, i move slower, and i'm like butter fingers lately- i drop everything and i hate having to order my husband around to pick up after me. or do all the big lifting. i physically can't do much...
