Anyone's kids HATE shopping?

I don't know if this is a phase or what..

My ds and I are in target/grocery store/ mall/ wherever almost DAILY and whenever the doors open and I push him through in his stroller, he LOSES HIS MIND!

Screaming, crying, carrying on. I can't get anything done! Forget the mall. He's OK in the open mall part but the second I turn into a store - hysterics. I try holding him but he's all over the place. I don't know if it's fear or claustrophobia or what. I tried putting him in a shopping cart instead. I tried wearing him on my back. He just HATES stores.

Any advice? Is this something they all go through?

My son was the exact same way when he was a baby/toddler. I was the mom with the screaming kid at the mall. Same exact thing...strolling the mall was fine, entering a store you'd think I was making him walk on hot coals.

Luckily he outgrew it. Hang in there.

Ayla has hated shopping since she was 5 months. She HATES it! now she is 2 and much better but she still isn't a fan. Amelia is just like Ayla- not a shopper. Amelia is like a little bomb waiting to go off. When I do go shopping I have to get in and get out before the 2 little bombs go off. They hate their stroller and stand up in carts and try to get out.


Oh how it will change when they get older I'm sure!
