anyone's kid a grunter
our twins are almost 8 weeks old!
ds had some tummy issues but now seems to be better and is now or at least the past week lol pooping on his own finally without something helping him yay
ok so now that he is doing that we find him grunting and pushing a lot during the day..even if he went already that day
almost like he figured out how to poop and wants to all the time
he really pushes and turns red, could this be from gas?
although he is better he is still a very gassy kid
i just get nervous when he grunts and pushes bc he looks like he is straining himself and gets super red
thanks

Re: anyone's kid a grunter
Awww- he's learning how to be a good man!
Seriously though, DD used to grunt all the time. It was SO unlady like . I will never forget one night as an infant she was grunting and grunting- all this noise- then she let out a HUGE loud fart and she literally sighed a sign of relief. Like ahhhhh It was hysterical.
I really do think it's them working out gas.

Re: anyone's kid a grunter
Dd grunts all day long, awake and asleep. Ds just learn ed to do it as well but not as frequently. I have no idea why they do it, it seems totally independent from their pooping and neither are very gassy. The best was we were in church thisweekend and at the most quiet moment dd starts to grunt and didn't stop for a very long minute. All the old ladies around us were tittering.

Re: anyone's kid a grunter
my DS (also a twin!) was constantly grunting. Not poop or gas related, but just the sound that he liked making. I can say that it settled down and now at 8 months we've traded grunting for high pitched squeal screams

I can hear her across the apartment right now. She sounds like an 8 year old boy.
