Anyone's DC not like water or juice???
DS has been "using" (and I use that term lightly) a sippy for quite some time now, but I have always put juice or water in it. He never really took to it, to the point where I was getting a little worried b/c I would like to eventually wean him off the bottle (he 15 months and takes 3 bottles a day). When I put milk in it, he drinks a decent amount. Even the random times I have put juice or water in his bottle, he doesn't drink it.
Anyone have a DC who only drinks milk? I guess my real question is, is this a bad thing? Does he NEED to be drinking water and juice? Obviously I know that water is important, but at this stage is it essential?
Any thoughts, ideas??

my son never drank juice. i never offered, and he ultimately hated it anyway. its not much but empty calories.
as for water, at that age i think my son was mainly on milk. but he was and still is a really poor eater, so we always supplemented with the milk to at least give him something healthy in his diet.
now at age 6, he drinks mostly water... not so mcuh milk, his choice. but he's still a lousy eater, so i would prefer he drank a little more milk.

DD is 15 months old and just started drinking water about 3 weeks ago. Up until then she would only drink milk. I never give her juice because there is no real reason to. I just kept giving her sippys with water and she eventually started taking it. She has been off bottles since about 13 months. When we went for her 15 month check up the ped said MAX 24oz of milk per day.

My son is willing to drink juice and water but we rarely offer it because he needs extra calories, being a slow weight gainer. His doctors want us to do it this way.

My DS is the opposite, he will not drink milk, ped said was fine.
But what about trying a different mechanism of giving water or juice. Like a cup with a straw and making it "special" to drink from. Just an idea...
