Anyone's baby measure with a REALLY small abdomen?

First the concern was the cord wrapped around his neck twice, even though he was small. But after my f/u growth sono, the major concern has switched back to size and he dropped from 16th to 10th percentile, with the abdomen being 2nd percentile.

My SIL had the SAME issue, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy 4 months ago, and I know I don't make big babies cause Sasha was small (and late), and is now almost off growth charts so I am trying not to be concerned. But that 2nd percentile has me a bit concerned. My SIL doesn't know what percentile he was in to compare to.

Anyway-- they want to induce me at 39 weeks- I am already scheduled for my due date (2/6) and I got them to wait to make final decision on induction date until next growth sono since things may change from now til then.

My first daughter did. It was found at 36 weeks. My Dr (Great Neck OBGYN)I went for sonos once a week.

I delivered at 40 weeks to a beautiful healthy baby girl.

i had the same issue. it was discovered at my 32 week sono. they put me on bedrest and made me come every week for sonos and monitoring. they told me my DDs abdomen was in the 4th percentile. so i left work, did a modified bedrest and delivered a 5 lb 12 oz baby girl at 38 weeks. she was perfectly healthy and fine. i was induced, but it was because my fluid was low and her heartrate was decelerating.

what is your doctor telling you to do?

Doc is just saying to rest as much as possible and drink fluids. Not so easy to rest with an almost 3 yr old and now I'm really trying to get ready for arrival of the baby. They want to induce at 39 weeks, but will let me wait til next growth sono to make final decision. Am doing NSTs once a week, and have been anyway, one other kind of sonogram one week and a growth sono the other weeks. So will have another sono on Wednesday, but another week and a half til next growth sono. So will know by jan 18th what's happening. Also need to try to monitor baby's movement, but with an anterior placenta, movement can sometimes be muted. It does seem that most of the time everything is fine, and docs are being cautious, but I guess just more to worry about.
