Anyone who refinanced within the past year... please come in!
Anyone who refinanced within the past year, did you have to provide anything different to your accountant with regards to the re-fi?
We are sending our files out to our accountant, and I just realized that I don't have anything other than the "usual" mortgage and tax receipts to show.
I know the points are deductible (over the life of the mortgage), so what documents would I need to show to our tax accountant to prove that we purchased points?

We brought the HUD statement (I believe that's what it's called - it's the long page with all of the itemized costs).

Thanks so much!!! I just found my package of documents and that seems like the most "comprehensive" form, so I'll send him a copy of that.
